Bye Bye Hair

I thought that it would be fun to change things up a bit and give, well get, Izzy a haircut. So when my friend Sydney came over to do my hair the other day I had her cut Izzys as well.

The weather outside is frighful

I think that Izzy is getting the hang of opening presents after having her birthday and than Christmas! It was a lot of fun this year watching her rip into her presents and than throw it so she could find another present to tear into. Maybe next year I will just wrap boxes around the house - she just liked ripping the paper and making a mess! Plus it will be a lot cheaper! :)

I FINALLY got to go on my parents new quads, I was pregnant when the whole family was off having fun this last summer so it was nice to be able to join in the family fun also.

Sunday Best

My favorite Sunday of the year is the one right before Christmas. I love all the songs that are sung and the words that are spoken! It is just a peaceful Sunday. My whole family came to our ward and it was so much fun to have everyone there - maybe not for the other ward members because it was a little out of control with so many kids running around but I loved it! What a great day!

Izzy's dance recital

Izzy had her dance recital this last week and she did such an awesome job! This recital was only for the parents - (the big one when they will get to wear costumes and peform on stage is in May) just to show us how they have progressed so far this year! All the girls were too cute and did such an awesome job and they all loved to show off! I was very proud of Izzy and loved watching how much she has learned already! I know you cant see her face here but she did a great job of doing what the teacher was telling her to do!
I love how she is pointing her toe right here! It is so fun having a little girl!

Way to go Jeff!

Last week my brother in law was made a Sgt and we had the honor of attending the ceremony to watch him be pinned. My Dad was the one that pinned him and I guess it is tradition to hit them on the chest as hard as you can- my Dad swung like he was going to hit him pretty hard but ended up just nudging him. It was pretty funny to watch!

Way to go Jeff, we are extremely proud of you and your accomplishments!

Happy Birthday Izabella!

I can't believe that my little baby girl is already turning 2! From the moment she was born she has brought so much joy and happiness to our family! Izzy was born 12/13/06 @12:18 a.m and weighed 8pds 1ounce and was 19 1/2 inches long. I think most of her weight was in her cheeks! Izzy is such a sweet spunky girl and can bring a smile to your face in an instant! You can already tell the passion she has for life and how she is going to be such an amazing person and do great things!

This was taken on her 1st birthday! I still cant believe that another year has gone by!

Here she is at Kangaroo Zoo on a play date a few months ago. I was just amazed watching her running around and climbing up to the top of the slide and going down all by herself. They become so independant at such a young age!

Some of Izzy's favorite things are:

• Running (I love that about her so I will have a running partner when she is older)
• Loves French Fries (takes after Mommy and would eat them every meal is Daddy would let her and Mommy)

1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? BAGS!! I suck at wrapping although I did wrap all of the kids gifts, it is much funner that way for them!

2. Real tree or Artificial? Artificial- however I miss real ones! I worked at a tree lot for 4 years and love the smell of them but with young kids it is just easier to have have a fake one! Yes you read that right I worked at a tree lot I got all dirty and gross and would get tons of sap all over me. I looked like a trashy mountain women but it was great! I really miss doing that!

3. When do you put up the tree? The day after Thanksgiving - I would put it up on Thanksgiving if I wasnt too full and bloated and all I wanted to do was take a nice long nap!

4. When do you take the tree down? The day after Christmas- it starts to drive me crazy and i just want to clean everything!

5. Do you like Egg Nog? LOVE IT!!! so glad that it comes out in october now!

6. Favorite gift received as a child? My mom is the bomb at buying Christmas gifts - so I love what I get every year!

7. Hardest person to buy for? My mother in law and father in law- ammon doesnt help me think of something because he always says he has no idea either... arrgh!

8. Easiest person to buy for? The kiddies

9. Do you have a nativity scene? Yes. I even have a toy one for Izzy so she can play with it.

10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Mail , took FOREVER this year since I made home made ones and was really sick- but next year I might just email them! :)

11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? I cant think of one so maybe I havent gotten one.

12. Favorite Christmas Movie? Polar Express! I lOVE IT and I finally bought it this year and was sooo exited!

13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I start picking things up here and there starting in about June, probably shouldnt do that because I forget what I have already gotten and Izzy is getting WAY too much this year! but I love it!! christmas is huge in my family!

14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Does white elephant gifts count?

15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? all the goodie plates that friends and neighbors bring by. i have only gotten one so far this year from sydney...... hello people start baking! :)

16. Lights on the tree? Yes the more the better!

17. Favorite Christmas song? Jeana I am right there with you! O Holy Night by Celine is the BEST! I listen to it year round!

18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? I get to stay home now that my parents live here! Yippy!

19. Can you name all of Santa's reindeer? Sad to say but no

20. Angel on the tree top or a star? Star - however I want something new. I am going to look after Christmas so I can get one super cheap!

21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? We open one gift on Christmas Eve, and save the rest for Christmas Day

22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? How rude people can get in the mall and driving - seriously people tis the season!!

Childs Christmas Party

We had our Childs Christmas party last night, it is tradition to have dinner,donuts, root beer floats, make ornaments and have a special visitor later that evening as long as the kiddies are being good! All the kids wore their pj's and laid on their blankets and pillows and were told Christmas stories by their Grandma and their Great Grandma and sang Christmas carols. It was hard to keep them quiet for too long because they were just too exited for Santa to come! He finally came and they were super stoked! I am not sure why these pictures loaded out of order but here are a few that I got from the evening.

Izzy loves Santa and gets so exited when she sees him in the mall but it was past her bedtime by the time that Santa stopped by so she wasnt to happy - hopefully Thursday night she will be happier when we take her to see Santa at the mall.

Saturday night we had a Christmas party that we went to. Of course we did the traditional white elephant gift. Ammon ended up with a huge Sugar Daddy - thanks to our friend Jim. Sunday night Izzy was just walking around the house playing with it, we had some friends stop by and while we were chatting Izzy disappeared upstairs. When I went up to see what she was doing this is what I found!! So funny! Its as big as she is! So I took off some of the wrapper and let her have her fun and get her sugar high!

Temple Lights

I have been wanting to go to the temple lights for a few years now but it just never seemed to work out. We were suppose to go on Saturday night but that fell threw so Monday I told Ammon that we were going NO MATTER what! I am so glad that we did! It was such a beautiful night! We started off the evening by going to The Pie for dinner with the whole family - way yummy and than off to see the beautiful lights! Such a fun evening!My parents with all the grandkids.

Every day grind!

I've been Picture Tagged...and you might be next!The rules are you have to take pictures of the following things. You have to do it right away. No straightening, cleaning, or wiping your child's nose. And then tag five others.

1. Favorite Room - this is my living room because this is where I can lay on my comfy couches and watch T.V.; a favorite thing to do of mine! Also I repainted this room this past summer and I love the colors!

2. My bedroom - as you can tell we have kids. Don't you love the bassinet in the corner with the bouncer next to it and the swing in the other corner but I absolutely love love love this recliner! So comfortable!!


3. My bathroom sink - no I didn't straighten this up or wipe it down, I was just lucky that I cleaned the whole house yesterday!

4. My favorite pair of shoes, can you tell that I love heels? Look in the background! :)

5. My side of the closet and this is only half of my clothes! Yes I love clothes but you should see Ammon's side too, he loves clothes just as much as I do which makes it nice to be able to shop for new ones because he wont tell me NO!

6. My chidren and what they are doing right now, hence the reason I am able to blog right now!

7. A picture of me - I am cheating a little bit because I got up at 4 this morning to feed Ezra before I went to the gym and needless to say we dont need a picture of what I look like!! Love to Dance!

Here is an update of Izzy's dance class! She totally LOVES it now- it took her a few weeks to warm up but now she gets so exited every Thursday when I tell her that we have dance that day! She has learned so much already and we have fun at home practising what she learned that day. Right now they are learning a dance for the Christmas program they are putting on and I cannot wait to see how she will react in front of a crowd of people.

My Little Man!

Here is some updated pictures of Ezra. I can't believe how much he has changed in just one week! It has been so much fun having him in our house! Izzy has loved it too! She loves to help bath him and put lotion on him and helps me pick out his clothes everyday. I just wish that she knew how to change his diaper!! :)

Pool Party!

We had a family birthday party at the Lehi Legacy Center this last week. Izzy had so much fun swimming with Daddy. She loved that she was big enough to climb up the slide and go down all by herself without any help. I can't believe how much kids grows up in just a few months (this last summer I had to help her.)

So she is wearing a life jacket that she let Ammon put on without a a fight - you think that she did that for me this last summer? No way - stinker! :)

The other day I walked past Izzy's room and she was jumping on the bed so I went and grabbed the camara because she looked like she was having tons of fun - when she noticed that I was there she turned around and folded her arms and tried to pretend that she was being a good girl and not jumping on the bed like she's not suppose to! I just thought that I would share this pic because I think that she looks too cute here!
